University of Lodz
Established in 1945, is one of the leading institutions of higher education in Poland. The University of Lodz is a fully accredited, state-owned university. The 13 faculties of the University provide programmes in 70 fields of study and 182 specializations. The University has a long experience in the implementation of international research and development projects (H2020, FP7, HARMONIA, ERA-NET, ISFP, Erasmus+) both as a partner and as a coordinator. Its international cooperation includes almost 400 partner institutions from all over the world. The Biohazard Prevention Centre (BPC) is established at the Biology and Environmental Protection Faculty of University of Lodz as a unit specifically dealing with research and development activities in preventing and responding to biological threats but also if chemical, radiological/nuclear and explosive agents are used (CBRN). The Center, in the field of public protection, focuses on international cooperation among research and training institutions, service and products providers and end-users to increase the level of security in public places by conducting research, training and raising-awareness activities
